This is a contracted at-will position at a rate of $2.22/second of video produced.
CHARACTER ANIMATOR AFTER EFFECTS SOFTWARE
Proficiency in the use of design and animation software.Superior knowledge of the 12 principles of animation such as staging, timing, ease in, ease out and anticipation.Collaborating with other creatives including designers, photographers and other animators to finalize projects.Developing timing and pacing of motion, based on audio requirements.Designing backgrounds, sets and other elements of the animated environment.Developing storyboards for animation projects.Creating character sketches for new animations based on design briefs.Conceptualizing ideas for characters, scenes, backgrounds and other animation elements.This includes initially animating rough sketches, then refining them to line drawings layering the scenes against the backgrounds matching the character visuals to the recorded dialogue, and compositing to final render.Īt the post-production stage, animators will do a final visual clean-up, mix sound effects and music, integrate visual effects, and render all the elements together to create the finished work.
In the production stage, the animators pull together all the elements to start animating the scenes. The voice-overs are then recorded by actors based on the dialogue in the script. The 2D Animator works through a three-stage process (pre-production, production, and post-production) to create a sequence:ĭuring the pre-production stage, they work with the client to create the story, design characters, create a storyboard, choose a design style, and prepare the backgrounds on which the action will occur. Their duties include working with creative professionals including storytellers, designers and voice actors to produce book trailers.
